Mamelodi Sundowns President Patrice Motsepe has welcomed the club's new signings to Chloorkop.
SIBUSISO VILAKAZI PENS LONG-TERM DEAL WITH SUNDOWNS
The club on Sunday evening officially confirmed the arrival of Sibusiso Vilakazi and Lucky Mohomi, with Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento completing the Absa Premiership champions' new arrivals.
Vilakazi joins the Brazilians from Bidvest Wits in a swap deal that saw Mogakolodi Ngele and Cuthbert Malajila head in the opposite direction.
Mohomi was previously at Free State Stars while Nascimento plied his trade in the Portuguese top flight last season.
“We are excited to welcome Sibusiso Vilakazi to the Mamelodi Sundowns Family," Motsepe is quoted as saying on the club's official website. "We have been monitoring him for quite some time and I am confident that he will make a huge contribution to the growth and success of Sundowns.
"We are now taking a longer time monitoring and assessing players who we think will fit in with our style and culture of play before we acquire them.
"We have made mistakes in the past and we hope that we have learned from our mistakes. We are also very happy to welcome Lucky Mohomi and Ricardo Nascimento to Mamelodi Sundowns.
"What excites me a lot about Mohomi is not only that he is an excellent player but also that he comes from Mamelodi which is where Sundowns has its roots.
Motsepe continued: "Ricardo is a very good player that we have been assessing for the past two years. South African football is becoming much more competitive and I think the upcoming football season is most probably going to be the toughest in many years."
Sundowns next game is against Zamalek in the 2016 CAF Champions League on Wednesday evening. Victory for Pitso Mosimane's troops in Atteridgeville will confirm them as Group B winners.
