Arokoyo thrilled with move to MLS champions Portland Timbers

Nigeria defender Gbenga Arokoyo has told AfricanFootball.com he hopes to make a success of his move to Major League Soccer (MLS) champions Portland Timbers.

The former Kwara United defender has signed a-three-and-a-half year deal with another year option with the MLS Cup winners.

"I am happy to sign a contract with Portland Timbers. It's a three-and-a-half-year plus one year option,” Arokoyo told AfricanFootball.com

"My aim is to help the team achieve more success."

He ended his contract with Turkish Super League side Gaziantepspor following unpaid wages.
