Watford striker Odion Ighalo confidence has been boosted ahead of the new season after they won their last pre-season game against French club Lorient.
The former Granada striker scored the second goal for his side against the French team to give them a 2-0 lead.
"As a striker, goals breed confidence, and I always try to give my best. I`m happy to score, but most importantly it's about the team performance,” Ighalo told the Watford website.
“We have new players and we are still understanding what the manager wants.
“We've put in enough work over pre-season, with new tactics. We can`t wait for the season to get started now so we can get moving."
Isaac Success was introduced in the game in the 25th minute before he was replaced in the 74th minute.
Watford are away to Southampton next weekend in a Premier League opener.
