Kawkab Marrakech will be out to keep their 2016 Caf Confederations Cup hopes alive when they face Étoile du Sahel in a Group B clash on Saturday evening.
The Moroccan outfit have to avoid defeat in Sousse if they are to stand any chance of making the semifinals of Africa's second-tier club competition.
'Kawkab' occupy third spot in the group with six points, one point behind defending champions Etoile, with FUS Rabat leading the way on 10 points from their four fixtures.
Two wins from their opening two fixtures was followed by successive 3-1 defeats to fierce rivals FUS Rabat; leaving the Moroccans in a compromising possession heading into the find two rounds of group stage matches.
Etoile, who also won the CAF CC in 2006, got their campaign off to a slow start, but successive wins over already eliminated Al-Ahli Tripoli (3-0 at home,1-0 in Tunis) stands them in good stead.
Victory for last year's champions on Saturday will not only book their place in the semifinals alongside FUS Rabat, but also set up an appetizing clash in Morocco at the end of the month - the second place team in the group will more than likely face five-time CAF Champions League winners TP Mazembe in the final four.
The reverse fixture between 'Kawkab' and the Red Devils ended in a 2-1 win for the hosts. Abdelilah Amimi with the decisive goal four minutes from time.
The match is scheduled to take place at the Stade Olympique de Sousse on Saturday evening. Kick-off is at 20h00 CAT.
