NPFL All-Stars landed in Lagos early this morning after a three-game playing tour of Spain with both players and officials saying they have learnt useful lessons from the experience.

The Nigeria selected lost all three matches on the tour – 2-1 to Valencia, 4-1 to Malaga and 2-1 to Atletico Madrid.

The team arrived in Lagos by 5.30am on board Air Maroc.

Assistant coach Imama Amakapabo told AfricanFootball.com it was an eye-opening experience for everyone on the trip.

“It was a call to duty to the players, coaches and administrators. We need to do more in terms of the quality of the football, structures and even the manner our clubs are managed,” said the Rangers coach.

“It was a great way to expose some of the best players in the league.

“Personally, I was most impressed with how the clubs are managed in Spain. They are very professional.”
