Itumeleng Khune reappointed as Kaizer Chiefs captain

Kaizer Chiefs have reappointed Itumeleng Khune as the club captain ahead of the 2016-17 Premier Soccer League season.

The Bafana Bafana goal-minder will don the captain's armband on a permanent basis, having officially taken over the responsibility from Siphiwe Tshabalala.

This follows heavy speculation that Willard Katsande would be appointed skipper with Tshabalala not guaranteed game time. The Amakhosi kick-off their campaign away to Bidvest Wits next Tuesday, 23 August.
