Burkina Faso will be targeting Botswana's scalp when they host them in their final 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at the Stade du 4 Aout in Ouagadougou on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 16h00 (CAT).

The Stallions of Burkina Faso need to beat Botswana in order to qualify for the AFCON finals for the fifth time in since 2010.

They are currently sitting at the top of Group D with ten points. But they are only ahead of second-placed Uganda on head-on-head.

Paulo Duarte's men will remain at top of the group if overcome Botswana. But they can still win the group if they lose and Uganda also lose to Comoros.

Their opponents Botswana have already been eliminated, but they will be looking to end their qualifying campaign with a win.

The Zebras are currently placed third on Group D standings with six points - three ahead of fourth placed Comoros who are also eliminated.

Peter Butler's side stunned Burkina Faso 1-0 in their first Group D meeting in Francistown. Joel Mogorosi's goal earned the Zebras the victory.

Tunisian referee Youssef Essrayri will be in charge of the encounter between Burkina Faso and Botswana on Sunday afternoon.
