Libya managed to take advantage of their hosts when they defeated Cape Verde 1-0 at the Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde in Praia on Saturday night in their 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
In the wake of the loss, Libya remain placed at number three with seven points as they finished their campaign.
Coach Rui Aguas pushed his side to go for a win, but failed to bag the full three points as they were stunned at home.
Despite both sides making efforts to bag an opener, it remained goalless in the first half as both teams went to the tunnel.
In the second half, neither team created clear chances to bag a goal but in the dying minutes Libya managed to do better.
The Mediterranean Knights managed to get something after pushing for an opener.
Fouad Al Triki scored for the 2014 CAF Africa Championships as they bagged a winner in the 90th minute.
In the injury time Libya received a red card but they managed to contain the attack from the hosts to bag the full three points.
Following the loss, the Blue Sharks now have nine points from six matches and have not booked their ticket to the continental showpiece in Gabon.
