Although they went to Mozambique to bag a win, Mauritius succumbed to a 1-0 loss at Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo on Saturday evening in a 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Group H qualifier.

In the wake of the defeat, Club M Les Dodos are now sitting at the bottom of Group H with six points from their two wins in the group.

The hosts were expected to take advantage at home, but they struggled to get an early goal in the match and couldn't break the visitor's defence.

The score remained 0-0 at half time.

Nevertheless, the Mambas were back to their best as they managed to put pressure on their visitors in the second half.

The Mozambicans were rewarded in the dying minutes of the match when they scored in the dying minutes of the match.

Although they have won their match at home, the Mambas are not going to reach the continental tournament in Gabon next year after finishing third in the Group with seven points.
