Nigeria international Shehu Abdullahi has told AfricanFootball.com he hopes to win trophies for his new Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta.

The Rio 2016 Olympics silver medalist said it will be a new chapter in his career as he hopes to excel.

"This will be a new challenge for me which I am ready for,” Shehu said.

"My target is to do well and help the team win trophies."

The former Uniao de Madeira player, who has signed a two-year deal with Anorthosis Famagusta, said he will miss the Portuguese team.

"I will surely miss Uniao de Madeira fans, teammates, coaches and the officials because we were more than a team, we were a family," said the former Kano Pillars star.
