Orlando Pirates head coach Muhsin Ertuğral and utility player Edwin Gyimah were caught arguing at the Cape Town International Airport on Wednesday morning.
According to EWN, the Ghana international had to be calmed down by fellow teammates with Ertuğral deciding to walk away from the altercation as the team checked in for their return flight to Johannesburg.
Not sure what sparked #EdwinGyimah but was very agitated. Cops spoke to him in departures hall & near boarding gates. Not good for Pirates.
Gyimah was substituted off at half-time in their 2-1 win over Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday evening. A one-minute brace by Tendai Ndoro enough to steer the Buccaneers to all three points.
It is also reported that the police had to intervene with the officials having threatened to arrest the former SuperSport United ace, Gyimah, if he failed to calm down.
A fiery figure, Ertuğral most notably clashed with Mabhuti Khenyeza in their time at Kaizer Chiefs, but the two were able to settle their differences as they helped steer Ajax Cape Town to safety five years later.
