Zamalek players celebrate

Wydad Casablanca parted ways with former Liverpool striker, John Toshack, following their 4-0 defeat to Zamalek in the first-leg semifinal of the 2016 Caf Champions League on Friday evening.
Toshack, who took charge of Rouges et Blancs in 2014, received the chop but a few hours after the humiliating defeat, with Wydad's hopes of winning the Africa's premier cup competition having taken a major hit.
Goals from Shikabala, Ayman Hefny, Basem Morsy and Mostafa Fathi steered Zamalek closer to yet another continental final.

In a statement released by the club; they revealed that the 67-year-old's contract had been terminated with immediate effect.
Toshack, who spoke highly of his time in Morocco, won the league title with the club in his first season.
