Information coming to the attention of this website is that the South African Football Association is yet to decide on a new Banyana Banyana coach.
The South African Women's team is set to participate in the 2016 CAF African Women's Championships later this year.
However, SAFA is yet to decide who will fill the void left by Dutch coach Vera Pauw who was axed after the 2016 Rio Olympics.
According to the Daily Sun, SAFA spokesperson, Dominic Chimhavi says they are taking time to look at all the recommendations.
“We are taking our time to sift through the recommendations. If it means going to the Women’s AFCON with an interim coach, so be it,” said Chimhavi.

“The intention is to leave early so the team gets used to conditions but we plan to play friendlies there too.”
Chimhavi added that the country's football governing body had initially planned to have friendly games against the Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe as well as the Pharaohs of Egypt.
However, it was announced that they would have to find other opponents as they were in the same group.
The coach-less Banyana are in Group A together with Zimbabwe, Egypt and hosts Cameroon in the tournament set to kick off in November.
