Ifeanyi Matthew, Bonke inspire Lillestrom big away win

Nigeria stars Ifeanyi Matthew and Innocent Bonke Saturday inspired struggling Norwegian club Lillestrom to an all-important 2-1 win at Stabaek.

It was Lillestrom first win in five matches and they now have 26 points from as many matches, just a point behind Stabaek, who are in the relegation playoff bracket.

Midfielder Bonke assisted for Lillestrom’s opening goal in the 35^th minute, before compatriot Ifeanyi Matthew created the opening for the second goal in the 51^st minute.

Former Kano Pillars star Ifeanyi Matthew thus followed up on his first goal in Norway from last weekend against Songdal.

The home team pulled a goal back at the stroke of full time, but it was too little, too late to stop a Lillestrom victory party.
