Victor Moses, playing a new role as a wing-back, was man of the match for Chelsea in a 2-0 win at Hull City on Saturday, but he said on Twitter his hamstrings will have to be assessed by his London club.
Success, 20, was set to honour his first Super Eagles call-up after he scored his first Premier League goal at the weekend at home against Bournemouth.
It is expected that coach Gernot Rohr will name late replacements for both players on his 23-man squad.
Germany-based defender Leon Balogun was the first key player to pull out of the squad to Zambia after he suffered an injury in action for Mainz 05.
The Eagles training camp in Abuja opens today and the team are expected to fly out Friday to Zambia.
