Nigeria defender Uche Agbo has said he will fight for a first-team shirt at Granada CF following the dismissal of coach Paco Jemez.
Granada are bottom of La Liga with just two points from seven matches and have since appointed Lucas Alcaraz for a third time.
Agbo admitted he will miss the sacked Jemez, but he has to prove himself again under the new coach.
“I will miss our former coach no doubt because he gave me the confidence to play back in the defence and under him I enjoyed good playing time,” he said.
“I, like all the other players, now have to fight for my place in the team with the coming of a new coach.”
The 20-year-old former Enyimba star has made five appearances thus far this season.
Agbo also got his first Super Eagles call-up for a World Cup qualifier in Zambia last weekend.
He was an unused substitute in Ndola.
“I am happy to be involved with the Super Eagles and even happier we won in Zambia,” he recalled.
