Nigeria striker Afolabi Okiki fired a hat-trick for his Argentine club Talleres de Cordoba in a reserves league game and he will soon be making his debut for the main team, according to his agent.
Marcelo Houseman has hailed the progress the former Sunshine Stars striker has made since his switch to Argentina, saying the player will soon feature for the main team.
“Okiki has gradually settled down in Argentina and he showed this when he scored a hat-trick in a recent reserves game for his club,” a proud Houseman disclosed.
“I believe that before long he will be playing for the main team.
“The league in Argentina is one of the best in the world and it is often difficult for a foreigner to quickly settle in there.”
This past season, Okiki scored 11 goals in the Nigeria league before he left for Argentina.
