The League Management Company (LMC) has proposed December 11 as the kick-off date for the new Nigeria premier league season.

This date will have to be ratified by the NFF congress at the AGA.

Officials want the league season to be brought in sync with what is obtainable in most leagues in Europe and an early kick-off will also put in fighting shape the country’s clubs in next year’s continental competitions.

Relegated clubs are Giwa FC, who were expelled after breaching the rules and regulations of the competition, Ikorodu United, Warri Wolves and Heartland.

The clubs promoted to the top flight are Gombe United, Katsina United, Remo Stars and ABS FC.
