A Nigerian team made up of players from the country’s domestic league will test the readiness of Egypt for the 2017 AFCON in a warm-up game in Dubai in January.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr disclosed he will be involved with this friendly.

“We have a friendly against Egypt in Dubai in January, which will enable me to look at the home –based players, but I will continue to monitor the Europe –based players and we will see how we get matches for them on FIFA free dates,” he said.

Incidentally, Egypt eliminated Nigeria in March to qualify for next year’s AFCON in Gabon.
