Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour has denied that he is lining up Pitso Mosimane as the club’s new coach.

Mosimane led Sundowns to the CAF Champions League title last month with an aggregate victory over Zamalek in the final.

The former Bafana Bafana coach then claimed he was approached by Zamalek officials with a view to taking over the Cairo club.

This followed reports that Momen Soliman offered his resignation from the post of Zamalek coach, only for it to be rejected by Mansour.

The White Knights chairman denies that he even knows Mosimane's name.

“I don’t know the name of Sundowns’ manager to try any negotiations with him. The club board are standing behind Momen Soliman and supporting him in his role,” Mansour told the press.
