Algeria will tackle Mauritania in two warm-up games ahead of next year’s AFCON in Gabon.
According to the Mauritania football federation, the two friendlies will be played in Blida on January 7 and 10.
Mauritania will also take on another AFCON-bound team Tunisia in another test game.
Algeria are drawn in Group B at Gabon 2017 alongside Senegal, Zimbabwe and Tunisia.
Algeria are bottom of their qualifying group for the 2018 World Cup with a point after two matches.
Nigeria lead the standings on six points, Cameroon are second on two points, while Zambia are third on a point and a better goals difference than Algeria.
