Former AFC Leopards coach Ivan Minnaert has expressed his desire to coach Zambian giants Zesco United.
Team Ya Ziko currently do not have a head coach after George Lwandamina parted ways with the side a few weeks ago.
Quoted by a Tanzanian website, Minnaert says he follows Zambian football, especially Zesco as he spoke to Soka25east.com.
“I follow the team and I feel I can make a good coach for “Team Ya Ziko”. I know Zesco will have to build something new with the coach leaving and maybe different players going to follow the coach and most important one of the key players [Clatus Chama] going to Egypt,” said Minnaert.

“The continuity, also a good working youth policy with time has given them good results. Also the stability with corporate sponsors and good foreign players who have brought a lot of quality to the team.
“The way I’m working, my discipline, bringing attractive and offensive football will be a good thing for Zesco United and Zambian Football at large.”
Minnaert also led teams such as Rwanda’s Rayon Sport as well as Mali’s Djouliba FC and will hope to get a chance to work with the CAF Champions League semi-finalists.
