22h55 - Guinea international Francois Kamano rose from the bench to secure a 3-2 win for Bordeaux in an action packed clash against Dijon.

22h45 - Benin intentional Stephane Sessegnon has received his marching orders. Montpellier reduced to 10-men; still goalless.

22h30 - Cape Verde forward Tavares has restored Dijon's lead, the visitors lead Bordeaux 2-1 in the French Ligue 1.

21h45 - Algerian midfielder Mehdi Abeid has given Dijon a 1-0 lead at Bordeaux.

21h30 - Majeed Waris has leveled matters for Lorient who are away to Metz in the French Ligue 1.

21h20 - Chelsea come from behind to beat Spurs 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.  Victor Moses played 81 minutes for the hosts, Victor Wanyama the full game for the North London club. Chelsea reclaim top spot as a result.

21h00 - Kick-off in five French Ligue 1 games - Chelsea still lead Spurs 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

20h40 - Chelsea hit the front through a Jan Vertonghen own goal. Victor Moses heavily involved - the Nigeria man has been in superb form this season.

20h25 - No Africans involved in the German Bundesliga Derby between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. Morocco international Benatia out injured for the hosts.

20h15 - Half-Time in the London derby - Pedro with the equaliser for the hosts. Victor Wanyama and Victor Moses involved from the onset.

20h00 - We're an hour away from kick-off in no less than five Ligue 1 matches in France, where there is sure to be plenty of African involvement.

19h50 - Half time in Italy, where Afriyie Acquah's Torino lead Chievo 2-0.

19h45 - Christian Eriksen has scored a beauty to put Victor Wanyama's Spurs 1-0 up at Chelsea. That's the first goal conceded by the Blues in the Premier League in over two months.

19h35 - Five minutes into the final Premier League match of the day, where Victor Moses' Chelsea are looking for a win to return to the top of the table. It's 0-0 at Stamford Bridge.

19h20 - The final matches in the Bundesliga and Premier League get underway in 10 minutes. In Germany, Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen has no African involvement, but in England Victor Moses and Victor Wanyama start for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur respectively in their London derby at Stamford Bridge.

19h10 - Full time in La Liga's second match of the day, where Real Madrid beat Rachid Ait-Atmane's Sporting Gijon 2-1 at home. Another Spanish top flight game gets underway in 20 minutes and sees Espanyol host Leganes. Papa Diop and Carl Medjani are on the benches of the home and away sides respectively.

19h00 - Half time in Ligue 1, where Monaco lead Marseille 3-0. We're also now underway in the first Serie A game, with Torino hosting Chievo.

18h55 - Islam Slimani has scored a penalty to see Leicester draw 2-2 with Middlesbrough, while Modou Barrow's Swansea won 5-4 (yes, you read that right, 5-4) at home to Crystal Palace. Sadio Mane's Liverpool won 2-0 against Sunderland and Hull City v West Brom ended 1-1.

18h50 - Sadio Mane won a penalty off Didier Ndong and James Milner converted to make it 2-0 to Liverpool over Sunderland.

18h45 - Kicking off in 15 minutes we have the first Serie A match of the day, which sees Torino host Chievo. The home side has Afriyie Acquah and Joel Obi on the bench, while the visitors have Lamin Jallow waiting in reserve. Modou Barrow's Swansea have allowed a two-goal lead to slip away, they are losing 3-4 to Palace.

18h35 - Sadio Mane's Liverpool have finally broken through against Sunderland, with Divock Origi making it 1-0 to the Reds.

18h30 - Let's catch up with the action in the Premier League, where Modou Barrow's Swansea have taken a 3-1 lead against Palace, Dieumerci Mbokani has provided an assist for Hull to make it 1-1 against West Brom and Daniel Amartey's Leicester are now 2-1 down against Boro.

18h20 - Full time in the Bundesliga afternoon matches: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored for Dourtmund, but they lost 2-1 away to Eintracht Frankfurt, while Marvin Matip's Ingolstadt were held 1-1 at home by Wolfsburg. Koln v Augsburg finished 0-0, Monchengladbach and Hoffenheim was 1-1 and Hamburger v Werder Bremen was 2-2.

18h00 - In 10 minutes we'll have kick-off in the first Ligue 1 match of the day, as Monaco host Olympique Marseille. No African starters unfortunately, but the home side do have Nabil Dirar on the bench, while Andre-Frank Zambo and Clinton N'Jie are waiting in reserve for the latter.

17h50 - Half time in the Premier League matches: Sadio Mane's Liverpool are being held 0-0 at home to Sunderland, Modou Barrow's Swansea are drawing 1-1 with Palace, Riyad Mahrez has scored Leicester's goal as they are being held 1-1 by Middlesbrough and Ahmed Elmohamady's Hull are 1-0 down at home to West Brom.

17h35 - We're back underway in the second half of the Bundesliga matches. In the Premier League, Lamine Kone is doing a great job in marking Sadio Mane in the match between Liverpool and Sunderland, which remains goalless.

17h20 - Half time in the Bundesliga matches: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Dortmund are being held 0-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt. Here are the other scores at the break: Hamburger 2-2 Werder Bremen, Koln 0-0 Augsburg, Monchengladbach 1-0 Hoffenheim and Ingolstadt 1-0 Wolfsburg.

16h40 - Kicking off in 20 minutes we have the first of four afternoon Premier League matches. Ahmed Elmohamady and Dieumerci Mbokani start for Hull City at home to West Bromwich Albion, who have Allan Nyom in their XI.

16h35 - We're five minutes into the afternoon Bundesliga clashes in Germany: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts for Borussia Dortmund away to Eintracht Frankfurt, while Marvin Matip and Marcel Tisserand start for Ingolstadt at home to Wolfsburg. The other matches are Koln v Augsburg, Monchengladbach v Hoffenheim and Hamburger v Werder Bremen.

16h30 - Finishing just a few minutes ago was the early match in the Premier League, where Yaya Toure helped Manchester City to a 2-1 away win over Burnley, while in Spain the first game today in La Liga saw Carlos Kameni concede three goals, but his Malaga still beat Deportivo La Coruna 4-3.
