Nigeria champions Enugu Rangers will use the pre-season NPFL Super 4, which starts today in Enugu, to prepare for the bigger challenges in the new season, according to coach Imama Amapakabo.

“The Super 4 will be an opportunity for me to see how the new players have adapted to my philosophy, how they have blended with the old players,” he said.

“I have the CAF Champions League, the league and the Federation Cup to look forward to in the new season.”

Rangers take on Rivers United on the first day of action in the Super 4 after they pipped them to the Nigeria league championship last season.

Rangers also humiliated Rivers United 4-0 in Enugu in the run-in to the championship.

Imama said he expects an exciting clash against the Port Harcourt outfit.

“It will be an exciting match,” he predicted.

“This is the beginning of the season for us and we hope we will have the full compliment of our team.”
