Nigerian Super Falcons striker Desire Oparanozie insists that her country must do better than just winning the 2016 Africa Women Nations Cup.
The Nigerian woman’s national team beat Cameroon in the final earlier this year with Oparanozie finding crucial goals in both the semifinal win over South Africa’s Banyana Banyana and in the final itself.

In total the striker found the back of the net three times after a slow start to the tournament and now she is hoping to take on the rest of the world.
“I am honoured to have scored the only goal in the semi-final and the only goal that made us beat Cameroon in the final,” said Oparanozie.
“It didn't matter whether I started all the matches or not. What was important was that we won and made history.
“The level of women's football in Africa is really on the high.
“A couple of teams are coming up and we now know there are a lot of teams that really want to give us a run for our money.
“It is quite impressive. I will urge every other country to keep doing what they are doing.
“It is not going to be in Africa but let us do better on the world stage.”
