Southend United midfielder Renei Batlokwa is looking forward to making his international debut for the Botswana senior national team.
The 19-year-old attacker was born in Botswana and he's now plying his trade for England's lower division side Southend United.
Batlokwa told the local media that it has always been his wish to represent the senior national team which is nicknamed, the Zebras.
“It’s something I have always wanted to do, to represent my country and for it to come this soon would be a big achievement," Batlokwa said.
The attacking midfielder also revealed that he's in contact with the Zebras head coach Peter Butler, who hails from England.
"I am in good contact with the Zebras coach Peter Butler and he has shown great interest in me which is very good, “he added.
Batlokwa was suppose to represent Botswana at last year's Under-20 COSAFA Cup in South Africa, but he was ruled out after sustaining a knee injury.
