Rangers held by FC Inter, hit Abuja for Super Cup

NPFL champions Rangers were Sunday held to a goalless draw by Nationwide Division One club FC Inter in a test game and are now expected in Abuja today for Wednesday’s Super Cup against FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

The friendly was played inside the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu with the likes of new signings Fortune Omoniwari, Daniel Etor, Bright Silas, Charles Henlong and Afeez Awaken all featuring.

Ugonna Anyaora, who until recently played in Norway, played for Inter.

The Rangers were later hosted by acting chairman Steve Oruruo at his Independence Layout mansion.

In the meantime, a squad of 25 players and five officials are due to hit Abuja later today ahead of Wednesday’s Super Cup against Federation Cup holders FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
