Defender Sincere Seth, who featured for Nigeria at the Rio Olympics, has called off a transfer to NPFL club Shooting Stars after they offered him “peanuts”.
Seth has been training with 3SC with the hope to sign for the Ibadan outfit in the new season, which kicks off this weekend.
“The player is back at his base Abuja and he said he was not ready to take the 200,000 Naira monthly salary they offered him,” disclosed a close source.
“He is now hoping to explore the possibilities of moving overseas.”
On Sunday, he played for an Abuja Selected in a friendly against NPFL side Katsina United.
The match ended 2-0 in favour of Katsina United.
Sincere, who is attached to Rhapsody Academy of Abuja, was an ever-present as Nigeria won bronze at the Rio Olympics in August.
