Cote d'Ivoire striker Salomon Kalou says they have the quality to win the 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon.
The former Chelsea striker believes the final against Ghana in 2015 in Equatorial Guinea was a tight affair, but he says the Elephants managed to rise to the occasion and triumphed.
Finding themselves in a tight Group C with the likes of DR Congo, Morocco and Togo, the Hertha Berlin forward remains confident of a good tournament.

“We also battled in the previous qualifiers, losing heavily in Cameroon and also failing at home to the Democratic Republic of Congo,” he said.
“But by the time we got to the knockout stage of the finals in Equatorial Guinea, we were producing outstanding football and scored three goals each in victories over Algeria and DR Congo.
“The final against Ghana was a tight, tense affair and our experience and calmness shone through in the post-match penalties shootout.
“To win the Cup of Nations you must have plenty of quality in your squad, and we do.”
