Ahead of this year’s Gothia Cup in Sweden, dates and venues for the screening to select players who will represent Nigeria have been announced.

Tiki Taka development Nigeria, the body responsible for selecting the Nigerian players who will participate at the event, had already announced states where the screenings will hold across the country, and they have now released the particular locations where the exercise will happen in each state.

The Gothia Cup is an annual youth tournament which takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden, and this year’s edition will feature players born in 1999 or later.

In Oyo State, the screening will take place at the Lead City University football pitch in Ibadan from February 16th to 18th, while the same event in Abuja will hold from February 20th to 23rd at the Millenium Park.

In Ogun State, the screening exercise will hold at the Ijebu Ode Stadium from February 24th to 27th, and in Kano State, it will be at the Sabon Gari Stadium from February 21st through the 23rd.

There will also be a screening exercise in Plateau State at the Bukuru mini stadium from the 22nd to 24th, also of February.

In Lagos, it will hold from March 16th to 19th at the Cappa Ground in Oshodi, while in Anambra, it will be at the Rojenny Games Village in Oba, from February 27th to March 3rd.

The programme will also be held in Akwa Ibom, at the Rusal training pitch in Ikot Abasi.

Kaduna will have its own at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium from January 21st through the 25th.

Kwara will also not be left out, as the screening will take place at the Kwara sports complex in Illorin.

Abia will have theirs in Aba, at the Abayi Girls’ Secondary school from the 6th of March to the 9th, and in Edo State, it will be at the Ikpoba Hill in Benin City.

In Rivers, the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Elekahia will be the venue from February 5th to the 9th.

Imo will witness theirs at the Government College pitch on Okigwe Road from January 30th to February 3rd, while the Warri Township Stadium will host for Delta from February 16th to the 18th.
