Morocco will square off with Ivory Coast in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group C match at the Stade d'Oyem in the Gabonese city of Oyem on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 21h00 (CAT).

The Atlas of the Lions thrashed Togo 3-1 in their previous Group C game in Oyem on Friday. Aziz Bouhaddouz, Romain Saiss and Youssef En-Nesyri netted for Morocco.

Morocco are placed second on the Group C standings with three points. They are a point behind log leaders Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Herve Renard, the Morocco head coach, is aware of the fact they need to beat his former side Ivory Coast in order to advance to the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast were held to a 2-2 draw by DR Congo in their previous Group C game in Oyem on Friday. Wilfried Bony and Serey Die both netted for the Elephants.

Ivory Coast, who are the defending champions, are placed third on the Group C standings with two points. They are also two points behind group leaders DR Congo.

Elephants head coach Michel Dussuyer is under pressure to mastermind a victory which would see his star-studded side book their place in the quarter-finals.
