Victor Osimhen undergoes another knee surgery, out for more weeks

Nigeria youngster Victor Osimhen has not started his pro career at German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg as he has undergone another knee injury and he will be sidelined for more weeks.

Nigeria U20 striker Osimhen was due to have made his Bundesliga debut this month after he signed a professional contract with Wolfsburg soon after turning 18 last month.

However, he suffered a knee injury, which his representatives had first downplayed.

More recent reports suggest the situation is a lot more serious.

Osimhen went under the knife again on Wednesday.

“Victor Osimhen has had another procedure on his knee today (Wednesday) and will be out for a few weeks,” a top source in Germany told AfricanFootball.com

“He will then start a rehabilitation programme and slowly be brought back towards the first squad.”

Osimhen has signed a contract for three and a half years earlier this month.
