A close confidant of AS Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru has told AfricanFootball.com the youngster was not dropped for Thursday’s match against Standard Liege, which ended in a 2-2 draw, but that the player was not around the club to be selected.

"Henry (Onyekuru) was not dropped by Eupen coach from their game against Standard Liege because he left to where they could not find him two days before the game, so he was not available for selection,” a confidant to the Nigerian striker opened up.
“He went somewhere to cool his head over the transfer issue that has been lingering on."
His whereabouts remain unknown and he has yet to resume training with his club.
He has accused Eupen of trying to force him to sign for Russian champions CSKA Moscow even though he has made up his mind to join Scottish champions Celtic, who have tabled an official bid for him.
