MFM FC teenage match winner Adebayo Waheed has said he wishes to score more goals after he downed four-time champions Kano Pillars at the weekend.
MFM FC defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 in Sunday’s NPFL clash at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium courtesy of a 65th minute brilliant header from the young striker, who came in as a substitute for Adegboyega Adekunle in the 60th minute of the entertaining match.
The excited 18-year-old forward who made his first appearance in the Nigerian top flight appreciated God, MFM FC coaching crew led by Fidelis Ilechukwu and his teammates.
"I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity and secondly I want to thank the coaches and my teammates for giving me the opportunity to be in the team and to play for the team,” the Ilorin-born ace said.
"I'm so excited to score the goal, I want to do more and I promise I will do my best for the team and help the team meet its target for the season as I continue to better my football career."
The Olukoya Boys occupy second spot on the NPFL table with 10 points from five league matches.
They will be guests to Sunshine Stars on Sunday for Matchday 6 clash tagged the 'Southwest Derby.'
