After reuniting with his winger at SuperSport United, coach Stuart Baxter expects the best from Mandla Masango.

The new Amatsantsantsa A Pitori winger joined from Denmark's Randers FC as he completed his loan switch.

Masango has not been a regular in Denmark in the past six months for Randers, where he has a contract running until June 2018.

The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana winger shocked many in the football fraternity when he left Chiefs at the end of the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League campaign.

Masango left the club together with Baxter, defender Tefu Mashamaite, (who has also joined United) just after bagging the MTN8 and the Absa Premiership titles.

Following his departure to Denmark, reports indicated that the player parted ways with his agent Walter Mokoena.

“We have a nicely settled squad right now and were not really looking to bring in anyone mid-season‚” Baxter said.

“But when the chance came to sign Mandla‚ I had the confidence of having worked with him before‚ so I know he will adapt quickly and hopefully add an extra spark as we compete on domestic and continental fronts.”

The Tshwane giants now have a number of former Amakhosi players in their roster such as Morgan Gould, Mashamaite, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Reyaad Pieterse, Kingston Nkhatha and Masango.

United currently top the log table with 25 points from 14 league matches and will meet Golden Arrows at home on Wednesday night, 08 February.
