Onyekuru, who attracted interest from teams across Europe during the January transfer window, told AfricanFootball.com that his agency Macato and AS Eupen have now reached an agreement that he will be allowed to join club of his choice in the summer.
"It wasn't easy while it lasted, but I thank God it has been resolved,” he specially told AfricanFootball.com
"An agreement was reached with Eupen that I will be allowed to move in summer to my club of choice.
“For now, I remain with Eupen till the end of the season.
“I didn't sign any pre-contract for any team for the summer move."
It is believed he still wishes to move to Celtic when the transfer window reopens.
But several other clubs including Liverpool in the Premier League, Ligue 1 side Nice, Russian champions CSKA Moscow as well as Turkish giants have enquired about the left-sided forward.
