Nigeria’s Victor Moses, Victor Wanyama of Kenya and Yaya Toure from Cote d’Ivoire are the players on the short list for the Premier League African Player for January.
In a month where a good few of African players have left their clubs to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations, Moses, Wanyama and Toure have kept the African flag flying with impressive performances for their respective clubs.
It has been a good season so far for Victor Moses who has made the shortlist on 5 occasions and won the award twice in a row late last year.
Victor Wanyama has been solid for Tottenham, guiding them to a highly respectable place on the table and helping as they remain the side with the least losses in the league and the best defensive record so far. A lot of Tottenham's resilience has been down to his input.
Yaya Toure on the other hand, has continued to impress in spite of the start of his time under City's manager Pep Guardiola, and his club has profited from his experience and effort.
As always, organisers New African Soccer are calling on fans to use all manner of media to vote for their choice of who is to be crowned EPL African Player of the Month of January. This can be done on our twitter page - @nasmagazine; on our website
