Siasia is open to offers after his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ran out in August 2016 after he led the country to win bronze medal at the Rio Olympics.
“We’re talking, we have been in discussions (with Orlando Pirates) for the past two weeks and I have already sent them my resume,” the former Nantes of France striker revealed.
“My agent will contact me as soon as something comes up.
“It’s about time I got another job.”
Interestingly, Nigeria goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel, who featured for Siasia’s team at the Rio Olympics, has signed for The Buccaneers.
Pirates are shopping for a new coach following the departure of first Eric Tinkler and then Mushin Ertugral between June and November 2016
Augusto Palacios has been caretaker coach of the Johannesburg outfit since November.
Last year, Siasia, who has besides handled the Super Eagles worked with Nigeria U20s, was linked with a money-spinning post in oil-rich Qatar but in the end nothing came out of it.
Late Eagles coach Shuaibu Amodu was in charge of Pirates between 1996 and 1997.
