Imama blames fatigue for champions Rangers loss

Rangers championship-winning coach Imama Amapakabo has blamed fatigue caused by congested fixtures for his team’s 2-1 loss at MFM FC.On Friday night, youthful home team MFM battled to beat champions Rangers at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
"It was not a bad game. We only paid the price for playing three matches in five days,” said Imama, whose team will next month face Zamalek of Egypt in continuation of this year's CAF Champions League.
"I must say kudos to my players because this is their third match in just five days. They put in their best but it was not enough to pick a point.
"I don't expect more than what they have exhibited because they are not machines.”
With Friday’s result, the NPFL champions now languish in 16th position on the table with nine points picked from eight games.
They have won two, drawn 3 and lost 3.
