Botswana giants Township Rollers were knocked out of this season's Mascom Top 8 Cup by the defending champions Orapa United on Sunday.

Orapa beat Mapalastina 2-1 in the semi-final second-leg encounter in Gaborone and they also emerged 4-1 winners on aggregate.

Rollers head coach Mogomotsi Mpote felt that his charges lacked commitment and they only showed the desire when it was already too late.

"We lost because we were not determined enough until very late in the match when we went forward in numbers," Mpote told club's official website.

"That is the commitment I wanted from the players from the beginning of the match.

"We started really showing the desire when it was too late and our opponents had put the game beyond us."

The 2016/17 Mascom Top 8 Cup final will feature Orapa and Jwaneng Galaxy, who beat Botswana Defence Force (BDF) XI in the semi-finals.
