Mamelodi Sundowns will look to continue their strong form in the Absa Premiership when they host Chippa United at Loftus Stadium on 28 February 2017, kick-off at 19h30.

Sundowns have won six of their last seven league matches after beating Bidvest Wits 2-0 at home on February 25.

The Tshwane side has claimed 18 points from seven home matches this season.

The Brazilians are placed fifth on the Absa Premiership log with 32 points from 14 matches.

Chippa saw their winless run in the league extended to three matches after they were held 2-2 at home by Golden Arrows on February 24.

The Eastern Cape side has claimed five points from eight away matches this season.

The Chilli Boys are placed ninth on the Absa Premiership log with 21 points from 18 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Chippa and Sundowns have met in seven league matches since 2012/13.

The Brazilians have an unbeaten record in the sequence, with four wins and three draws.

Sundowns have won all three of their home league matches against Chippa, scoring seven goals and keeping three clean sheets in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season (earlier this month, in fact) they played to a 1-1 draw in the Eastern Cape.

Chippa have not scored a goal in open play against Sundowns since October 2014.
