Chinedu Udoji has revealed Kano Pillars have fixed their sights on reclaiming their Nigeria league crown after he scored the winning goal against Katsina United at the weekend.
The four-time Nigeria champions have now shot to seventh on the table with 13 points from eight matches.
They are seven points adrift of leaders Plateau United.
Udoji joined Pillars at the end of last season after leading Enyimba to several championships.
"Our target this season is to win the league and I am sure by the grace of God we are going to achieve that,” said the uncompromising central defender, who was named Man of the Match on Sunday after his headed goal on 27 minutes proved to be the difference against visiting Katsina United.
"We are already aware of what our fans are expecting from us, which is to win the league title at the end of the season.
"God's willing we'll win the league for them (our fans).”
