Struggling Leicester City have not listed Ahmed Musa, who fans regard as a big-money flop, for their first game since the sacking of their championship-winning manager Claudio Ranieri.
Fans have kicked against 24-year-old Nigeria winger Ahmed Musa, who cost ‘The Foxes’ 15 million pounds last summer from Russian champions CSKA Moscow, saying he has failed to make an impact since his arrival.
The fans have instead been rooting for 20-year-old Demarai Gray, who they argue has made a much bigger impact for their team this season.
He has made 19 appearances and netted a goal in the league this season, while Ahmed Musa has played 18 games and scored two goals.
Gray has started from the bench tonight.
Another Nigeria star, Wilfred Ndidi, who teamed up with City in the winter from Belgian club Genk, is the only player not part of last season’s fairy tale who has started tonight’s Premier League game against Liverpool.
He starts in the position N'Golo Kante made a name for himself last season.
