Senegal head coach Joseph Koto was pleased to see his side finish at the top of Group B at the 2017 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

The Young Lions of Teranga beat Cameroon's Young Indomitable Lions 2-0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia on Sunday afternoon.

As a result Senegal will face Guinea's Young National Elephants in the second semi-final encounter at the same venue on Thursday.

"I’m very content with the result of my team. We are happy to top the group and remain in Ndola for the semis," Koto told CAF Media.

"It saves us energy from traveling to another venue. We are now looking forward to the semis against Guinea.

"That is our focus and once we are done with that we can think about the final or otherwise."

The other semi-final encounter will feature tournament hosts, Zambia, and South Africa at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on Wednesday.
