Zambia and Zimbabwe played to a 0-0 draw in their friendly international on Sunday afternoon at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
The Warriors were looking to revive their pride after their group stage exit at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon.
However, their failure to convert their opportunities in the opening half meant they could not bag a win.
Norman Mapeza's men came into the encounter hoping to break Chipolopolo's defence, but they were not clinical in front of goal.
There were no goals at half time despite Wedson Nyirenda's men looking threatening.
The hosts displayed an improved performance in the second stanza as they piled more pressure on Zambia.
Despite their efforts to find a winning goal, Zambian goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda was called to action to deny the hosts in the 63rd minute.
In the end, the Warriors were fortunate to survive attacks from Zambia as Sibanda proved to be the saviour on many ocassions.
The encounter saw both sides trying to break the deadlock in the dying minutes, but both sides lacked sharpness in front of goal as the match ended in a dull draw.
