Guinea-Bissau coach Baciro Carde says they knew what to expect from South Africa's Bafana Bafana in an international friendly match in Durban on Saturday.
Abdulai Djalo Balde scored the African Wild Dogs' consolation goal as they were beaten 3-1 by Bafana at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
"When we came here, we knew that we were coming to face a good team, with good players, and even the history of Bafana Bafana shows that," Cande said on KickOff.com.
"But we knew were coming to play against a team stronger [than us], and we couldn't take them lightly, but we did our best and are glad [with our performance].
"In my personal opinion, I believe we did our best but that's how the game went. The way I see it, I thought maybe we should have left here with a 2-2 [result]," he added.
"But, be that as it may, it's okay, I'm not blaming the referee or anyone, it's just my opinion."
Guinea-Bissau participated in the recent 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Gabon. They were making their debut appearance in the finals.
