Mauritius and Comoros drew 1-1 in the 2019 Africa Cu of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at the Anjalay Stadium in Belle Vue Maurel on Tuesday afternoon.
As a result Comoros won 3-1 on aggregate and they advance to the qualification Group B which includes Cameroon, Morocco as well as Malawi.
Les Coelecantes went into the second-leg game having won 2-0 in the first-leg match last week thanks to two goals from Benjaloud Youssouf and Chaker Alhadhur.
The deadlock was broken 17 minutes into the game by Les Coelecantes' dangerman El Fardou Mohamed Ben Nabouhane, who made it 1-0 to Comoros.
However, the home side pushed for the equalizing goal and they managed to restore parity with the half-time break fast approaching.
Les Dodos' Walter Duprey St. Martin was the man, who hit the back of the net to make it 1-1 on the stroke of half-time. The score was 1-1 at the interval.
Mauritius, who qualified for 1974 AFCON finals, looked to restore their lead in the opening stages of the second-half, but the visitors were solid at the back.
Nevertheless, the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate as Comoros contained Mauritius until Seychelles referee Nelson Fred blew the final whistle.
