Ghanaian Jeffrey Schlupp has received praise from Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey for the way he has slotted into the team’s line-up.
The versatile Black Stars player joined Palace on a four-year deal in January after struggling to win playing time at Leicester City.
Schlupp was particularly impressive when deployed as a left-back in Palace’s 1-0 win over Watford just before the international break.
“We were unlucky with Patrick [van Aanholt], it was a nasty injury at West Brom but Jeffrey has come in and he’s done really well and didn’t even look like he hadn’t played many games,” Hennessey is quoted by London News Online.
“We’re not making as many mistakes as we were and we’re creating a lot more.
“The back four have been fantastic, they’ve been so solid and good as a unit.
"He’s really happy with himself.”
Schlupp’s next chance to impress for Palace will be in their high-profile clash against Premier League leaders Chelsea on Saturday.
