South Africa international May Mahlangu is pleased to have returned to action for Romanian club Dinamo Bucureşti.

Mahlangu played 59 minutes for his side as they lost 6-5 on penalties to CS U Craiova following a goalless draw in the Cupa României on Wednesday.

This was his first appearance since for Bucureşti since early March 2017 as the attacking midfielder has been out nursing an injury.

The 27-year-old is now looking forward to facing Steaua București in the Eternal Derby at the Arena Naţională in Bucureşti on Sunday evening.

"We all know what it means to play against Steaua. It's the game that we all want to win," Mahlangu told The Sowetan.

"I worked hard, I'm sure the coach saw it, I'm happy that I was given the opportunity to do my best in this match.

"So I feel much better than before," Mahlangu, who missed SA's recent friendly matches due to an injury concluded.
