We have come to the end of our Sunday edition of the Africa Stars Watch on AfricanFootball.com and thanks for joining us on Sunday, 09 April 2017.

Live Commentary: 

19:00 - It's half time in the CAF Confed Cup matches, SuperSport held at 1-1 at the interval against Barrack in Liberia. It's the second half for Platinum Stars in Ivory Cost against Tanda, 1-0 to the hosts.

18:50 - It is over for Mahrez, Musa and Slimani as they fail to secure a draw against Everton. Full time score is 4-2 at Goodison Park. Djidji's Nantes has grabbed a point in the French Ligue1, they draw against St Etienne.

18:45 - 30 minutes to go in Germany between Matip's Ingolstadt against Darmstadt...both camps held at 1-1 in the second half. It's less than five minutes in France where Djidji's Nantes is set to get a point against Etienne.

18:40 - 12 minutes remaining in the EPL for Slimani, Musa and Mahrez to get two goals against Everton at Goodison Park. 4-2 as it remains now.

18:30 - Mahrez has come on for City replacing Demarai Gray, Musa replaces Jamie Vardy as they are 4-2 down against Everton in the English Premier League. In France, Djidji's Nantes and Etienne are held at 1-1. It's 1-1 between SuperSport United and Liberia's Barrack Young Controllers in Monrovia.

18:25 - Lukaku bags a brace against the Foxes as they now lead 4-2 after poor defending by the visiting City. Darmstadt are now leading Matip's Ingolstadt 2-1. No changes in France between Djidji's Nantes and Etienne.


18:15 - In the CAF continental competitions: Platinum Stars (SA) are a goal down against Cote d'Ivoire's Tanda in the CAF Confederation Cup first leg play-off. SuperSport United (SA) are up against Barrack Young Controllers in Liberia, 0-0 so far. Enugu Rangers of Nigeria lead Zambia's Zesco united 2-0 in the second half. Tunisia's CS Sfaxien are yet to score against Burundi's Kadiogo.

18:10 - Djidji's Nantes are back for the second stanza and they still lead 1-0. In the German Bundesliga, Darmstadt have converted their opportunity coming from a penalty against Matip's Ingolstadt. It is 1-1.

17:50 - Everton have claimed a 3-2 lead at the interval through skipper, Phil Jagielka. It is 3-2 at half time. There are no changes in France between St Etienne and Nantes. 1-0 to Djidji's Nantes at half time. Darmstadt have broken the deadlock against Ingoalstadt, 1-0.

17:40 - Cameroon's Marvin Matip features for Ingolstadt in Germany against Darmstadt and the match has just begun with no goals so far.

17:25 - Djidji's Nantes are now 1-0 up in their French Ligue1 encounter against St Etiene. Salomon Kalou in action for Hertha Berlin in the German Bundesliga against Augsburg as they bag a 2-0 win. Romelu Lukaku makes it 2-2 at Goodison Park between Leicester and Everton.

17:15 - Slimani's Leicester bags their second goal through Marc Albrighton making it 2-1 against Everton. Senegalese international, Cheikh Mbengue is in action for St Etienne in France against Koffi Djidji's Nantes. No goals yet in the opening half.

17:10 - On the other hand, Idrissa Gueye from Senegal is also starting for the Toffees...end to end stuff at Goodison Park.

17:05 - Leicester City are up against Everton in the English Premier League, Algeria's Islam Slimani starts for the Foxes whilst his fellow countryman, Riyad Mahrez and Nigerian, Ahmed Musa are both benched. Slimani has scored for Leicester, it is 1-1 after five minutes.

17h00 - Full-Time scores in the Italian Serie A: AC Milan 4-0 Palermo; Bologna 0-3 AS Roma; Cagliari 2-3 Torino; Crotone 2-1 Inter; Udinese 3-0 Genoa. In France Toulouse and Marseille have played to a goalless stalemate.

Salah and Acquah on target in Italy. Acquah's day sour a touched as he received his marching orders in added time.

16h50 - Umar has completed his brace for  Osmanlispor with Cameroonian Webo also on target against Kayserispor. Osmanlispor claiming a 4-1 win.

16h45 - Plenty of African interest in the English Premier League game between Everton and Leicester City. Yohan Benalouane, Daniel Amartey and Islam Slimani start for the Foxes with Gueye involved from the onset for the Toffees. Ahmed Musa and Riyad Mahrez on the bench for the visitors.

16h30 - More misery for the African players contracted to Sunderland as they suffer a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United at the Stadium of Light.

16h20 - In the Netherlands, Feyenoord have dropped points in their quest of the Eredivisie title. Their lead cut to a single point as they are held to a 2-2 draw away to PEC Zwolle. Moroccan duo Mokhtar and El Ahmadi having gone head-to-head.

16h15 - Afriyie Acquah on target for Torino who have gone 3-1 up against Cagliari. In Germany, Kalou's Hertha Berlin hold a 2-0 lead at half-time.

16h00 - Kalou's Hertha Berlin currently in action against Augsburg in the German Bundesliga. Only the two games in Germany's top-flight today.

15h50 - Half-Time scores in the Italian Serie A: AC Milan 3-0 Palermo; Bologna 0-2 AS Roma; Cagliari 1-2 Torino; Crotone 2-0 Inter; Udinese 2-0 Genoa

15h45 - Manchester United are 2-0 up against Sunderland after 47 seconds in the second stanza; the Black Cats creeping closer to relegation.

15h40 - Mohamed Salah's Roma have hit the front against Bologna - plenty of on-going action in Italy.

15h35 - Over in Turkey, Nigerian Umar has rattled the back of the net for Osmanlispor who are up against Kayserispor. Plenty of African interest in this one.

15h15 - Earlier, Aymen Abdennour  played the full 90 minutes as Valencia defeated Granada 3-1 in the Spanish La Liga.  Granada boasting three Africans in their starting line-up in Wakaso, Carcela-Gonzalez and Agbo.

15h05 - Plenty of action in Italy with the following games currently on-going: AC Milan vs Palermo; Bologna vs AS Roma; Cagliari vs Torino; Crotone vs Inter; Udinese vs Genoa

14h55 - Khouma Babacar found the back of the net as Fiorentina and Sampdoria played to a 2-2 stalemate in the Italian Serie A.

14h40 - Over in France, Toulouse and Marseille are set for battle with Zambo Andre-Frank the only African involved from the onset. Plenty of interest on the bench.

14h30 - Lamine Kone, Didier Ndong and Victor Anichebe involved from the onset for Sunderland vs Manchester United. The Black Cats in serious need of a win.  Eric Bailly starts for the Red Devils - Khazri and Djilobodji on the bench for Sunderland.
